Clean clothes for Joshua the high priest

1Then he showed me Joshua the high priest. He stood before the angel of the LORD, and the Accuser stood at his right side to accuse him. 2The LORD said to the Accuser, “May the LORD rebuke you, Accuser! May the LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is this man not a burning stick snatched from the fire?” 3Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. 4The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Remove his filthy clothes.” Then he told Joshua, “See, I have taken your guilt away from you, and I will dress you in fine robes.” 5Then I said, “Let them place a clean turban on his head.” They placed the clean turban on his head and dressed him in clothes, while the angel of the LORD stood by. 6Then the angel of the LORD gave Joshua this solemn charge: 7“The LORD of Armies says this: If you walk in my ways and carry out the duties I give you, then you will govern my house and take care of my courts, and I will give you a place among those who stand here. 8Listen, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellow priests who sit before you, for these men are a sign: I am about to bring my servant, the Branch. 9Look at the stone I have placed before Joshua. That one stone has seven eyes. I am going to engrave an inscription on it, declares the LORD of Armies, and I will remove the guilt of that land in a single day. 10On that day, declares the LORD of Armies, each of you will invite your neighbor to come and sit under your vine and your fig tree.”
