Hosea 3

Go again and love

1The LORD said to me, “Go again, love a woman who is loved by another man and is an adulteress, just as the LORD loves the people of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes.” 2So I bought her for myself for about 6 ounces of silver and about 9 bushels of barley. 3Then I said to her, “You must stay with me for many days. You must not prostitute yourself or belong to any man, and I will do the same toward you.” 4For the people of Israel will live for many days with no king or prince, no sacrifice or sacred pillar, no ephod or household gods. 5Afterward the people of Israel will turn back and seek the LORD their God and David their king. In days to come they will come trembling to the LORD and to his goodness.
