Eyes on the LORD, like a servant’s on a master

1A song of ascents. I raise my eyes to You, the one who reigns in heaven. 2Servants watch the hand of their master, and a servant woman watches the hand of the woman she serves. In the same way we keep our eyes on the LORD our God, waiting for Him to show us favor. 3Show us favor, LORD, show us favor, for we have swallowed more contempt than we can bear. 4We have had our fill and more of the mockery of the comfortable and the contempt of the arrogant.
