Making the ark

1Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood, about 3 3/4 feet long, about 2 1/4 feet wide and about 2 1/4 feet high. 2He overlaid it with pure gold on the inside and the outside, and put a gold molding around it on every side. 3He cast four rings of gold for it, set at its four feet, so that each side had two rings. 4He made carrying poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold. 5He slid the poles through the rings on the sides of the ark, so that the ark could be carried. 6He made a mercy seat of pure gold, about 3 3/4 feet long and about 2 1/4 feet wide. 7He made two cherubim of gold, hammered out, for the two ends of the mercy seat. 8There was one cherub at this end and another at that end. He shaped the cherubim out of the mercy seat itself, at its two ends. 9The cherubim spread their wings out above, sheltering the mercy seat with their wings. They faced one another, with their faces turned toward the mercy seat.

Making the table

10He made the table of acacia wood, about 3 feet long, about 1 1/2 feet wide and about 2 1/4 feet high. 11He overlaid it with pure gold and gave it a gold molding all the way around. 12He gave it a frame about 3 inches wide on every side, with a gold molding all around the frame. 13He cast four rings of gold for it and set them at the four corners, one by each of its four legs. 14The rings were near the frame, to hold the poles by which the table was carried. 15He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold, for carrying the table. 16He made the utensils for the table out of pure gold: its dishes, its pans, its bowls, and the jars used for pouring out drink offerings.

Making the lampstand

17He made the lampstand of pure gold, hammered out. Its base and its shaft, its cups, its buds and its blossoms formed one piece with it. 18Six branches came out from the sides of the lampstand: from one side three of its branches, and from the other side three. 19One branch had three cups shaped like almond blossoms, with a bud and a blossom, and the next branch three cups shaped like almond blossoms, with a bud and a blossom. It was the same for all six branches that came out of the lampstand. 20Four cups shaped like almond blossoms, with their buds and blossoms, were on the lampstand itself. 21There was a bud under each pair of branches that came out of it: one bud beneath each of the three pairs, for the six branches that came out of it. 22Their buds and their branches were part of it, the whole of it a single hammered piece of pure gold. 23He made seven lamps for it, along with its tongs and its fire pans, all of pure gold. 24From about 75 pounds of pure gold he made the lampstand and all its utensils.

Making the altar of incense

25He made the altar of incense from acacia wood, square in shape, about 18 inches on each side and about 3 feet high; its horns were part of the altar itself. 26He overlaid it with pure gold: the top, the sides all the way around, and the horns. And he ran a gold molding around it. 27Below the molding he made two gold rings for it, on its two opposite sides, as holders for the carrying poles. 28He made its poles from acacia wood and overlaid them with gold. 29He also made the holy anointing oil and the pure incense of fragrant spices, prepared with a perfumer’s skill.
