The LORD lifts up the lowly

¹Praise the LORD! You who serve the LORD, give praise; give praise to the name of the LORD! ²May the name of the LORD be blessed from now on and for all time. ³From where the sun comes up to where it goes down, the name of the LORD is worthy of praise. ⁴The LORD is lifted high over every nation; his glory rises above the heavens. ⁵Who can compare with the LORD our God, who has taken his seat on high, ⁶who bends low to see what is in the heavens and on the earth? ⁷He lifts the poor up out of the dust and raises those in need from the ash heap, ⁸to seat them with nobles, beside the leaders of his people. ⁹He gives the woman without children a household of her own, a glad mother of children. Praise the LORD!
