The LORD lifts up the lowly
1Praise the LORD! You who serve the LORD, give praise; give praise to the name of the LORD! 2May the name of the LORD be blessed from now on and for all time. 3From where the sun comes up to where it goes down, the name of the LORD is worthy of praise. 4The LORD is lifted high over every nation; his glory rises above the heavens. 5Who can compare with the LORD our God, who has taken his seat on high, 6who bends low to see what is in the heavens and on the earth? 7He lifts the poor up out of the dust and raises those in need from the ash heap, 8to seat them with nobles, beside the leaders of his people. 9He gives the woman without children a household of her own, a glad mother of children. Praise the LORD!
