My God the King, forever praised
1A song of praise. Of David. My God, the King, I will lift you high in praise and bless your name for ever and ever. 2Day after day I will bless you and give praise to your name for ever and ever. 3The LORD is great, worthy of the highest praise, and there is no searching out the depth of his greatness. 4Each generation will praise your works to the one after it and announce your mighty acts. 5I will reflect on your majesty, its glory and splendor, and on the story of your wonders. 6People will speak of the power of your fearsome deeds, and I will tell of your greatness. 7They will spill over with the memory of your great goodness and sing out for joy at your righteousness. 8The LORD is full of grace and compassion, slow to anger and great in loyal love. 9The LORD is good to everyone; his compassion covers all that he has made. 10LORD, all your works will thank you, and your faithful people will bless you. 11They will speak of your glorious reign and tell of your power, 12to make his mighty acts known to all people, and the glorious splendor of his reign. 13Your kingdom is a kingdom for all the ages, and your rule lasts through every generation.a 14The LORD holds up everyone who stumbles and raises all who are bent low. 15All eyes are turned to you in hope, and you provide their food when it is needed. 16You open your hand and give every living creature what it longs for. 17In all his ways the LORD is righteous; in all his deeds he is faithful. 18The LORD is close to everyone who calls to him, to all who call to him sincerely. 19He grants what those who fear him desire; he hears their cry for help and rescues them. 20The LORD guards everyone who loves him, but he will wipe out all the wicked. 21With my own mouth I will speak praise to the LORD; may all creatures bless his holy name for all time to come.
