Bring us back like streams in the Negev

¹A song of ascents. When the LORD turned things around for Zion, we were like people in a dream. ²Then we laughed and laughed, and our tongues rang with joyful shouts. Then people among the nations said, “What great things the LORD has done for them!” ³Great things indeed the LORD has done for us, and how glad we were! ⁴LORD, restore us again, as the rains bring the dry streams of the Negev back to life. ⁵People who sow their seed in tears will bring in the harvest with songs of joy. ⁶People may go out in tears as they carry the seed for sowing, but they will surely come home shouting for joy, their arms full of sheaves.
