A new song for the faithful
1Praise the LORD! Sing a new song to the LORD; sing his praise where the faithful gather! 2Let Israel be glad in the one who made it; let Zion’s people rejoice in their King. 3Let them praise his name in dance and make music for him on tambourine and lyre. 4For the LORD is pleased with his people; he dresses the humble in the beauty of salvation. 5Let the faithful be jubilant in their glory; let them cry out with joy as they lie on their beds. 6with songs that lift God high in their throats and a two-edged sword held in their hands, 7to bring retribution on the nations and to punish the peoples, 8to put their kings in chains and their nobles in iron shackles, 9to carry out on them the judgment already written. This honor belongs to all his faithful. Praise the LORD!
