Lead me to the rock higher than I
1For the music director. On a stringed instrument. Of David. 2God, hear my loud cry; \q pay attention to my prayer. 3From the far edge of the earth I call to you while my heart fails; \q lead me up onto a rock too high for me to climb. 4For you have been my shelter, \q a strong tower to hold off the enemy. 5Let me live as a guest in your tent for all time; \q let me find refuge under the cover of your wings. Selah 6God, you have heard the promises I made; \q you have granted me the share that belongs to those who honor your name. 7Add days upon days to the king’s life; \q may his years go on through generation after generation. 8May he sit on his throne in God’s presence forever; \q let loyal love and faithfulness be appointed as his guards. 9Then I will make music to your name for all time \q as I keep my vows day after day.
