Holy is the King enthroned in Zion
1The LORD is King; let the peoples shudder! \q He is seated on the cherubim as on a throne; let the earth shake! 2In Zion the LORD is great; \q he towers over all the peoples. 3Let the peoples give thanks to your name, great and awe-inspiring. \q He is holy! 4Mighty King who loves justice, \q it is you who have set fairness firmly in place; \q you have done what is just and right in Jacob.a 5Lift high the LORD our God, \q and bow low at his footstool. \q He is holy! 6Among his priests were Moses and Aaron, \q and among those who called on his name was Samuel; \q they called out to the LORD, and he answered them. 7From the pillar of cloud he spoke with them; \q they kept the decrees he laid down and the rule he gave them. 8LORD our God, it was you who answered them. \q To them you were a God who forgives, \q yet one who punished their wrongs. 9Lift high the LORD our God, \q and bow low on his holy hill, \q because the LORD our God is holy.
