God is with us in the shaking world

¹For the music director. Of the sons of Korah. On alamoth. A song. ²God is a shelter and a strength for us, a help always close at hand in times of distress. ³So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is overturned and the mountains slide down into the depths of the sea, ⁴when its waters roar and churn and the mountains shudder as the sea heaves. Selah ⁵There is a river; its channels bring joy to God’s city, the sacred home of the Most High. ⁶God is in the middle of the city; nothing will topple it. God will come to its aid as the morning breaks. ⁷Nations were in turmoil and kingdoms shook; he thundered, and the earth melted away. ⁸The LORD of Armies is on our side; the God of Jacob is our high fortress. Selah ⁹Come, look at the deeds of the LORD, the havoc he has worked across the earth. ¹⁰He puts an end to wars as far as the earth reaches; he snaps the bow, splits the spear, and sets the war wagons on fire.^{a 11}“Stop, and acknowledge that I am God. Among the nations I will be lifted high; over all the earth I will be lifted high.” ¹²The LORD of Armies is on our side; the God of Jacob is our high fortress. Selah
