I eagerly expect and hope that I will not be put to shame in anything. But I tell you in truth: in Elijah’s day, when the sky stayed shut for three years and six months and a great famine struck the whole land, Israel had many widows. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow at Zarephath in the land of Sidon.
So they put a question to him: “Teacher, we are sure that you are correct in what you say and teach. No one’s rank sways you, and you teach the way of God with truth.
About an hour later another man insisted, “This is the truth: this fellow was with him. He is a Galilean too.”
Yohana matumizi 25
The Word became flesh and made his home among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

He was a murderer from the beginning, and he never stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him.
But as for me, it is because I tell the truth that you do not believe me.
If it is the truth I speak, why do you not believe me?
Jesus answered him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. Only through me does anyone come to the Father.
I will ask the Father, and in answer he will give you another Advocate, who will be with you forever. This is the Spirit of truth. The world is not able to receive him, since it does not see him and does not know him. But you know him, for he remains with you, and he will be in you.
The Advocate, whom I will send to you from the Father, is the Spirit of truth, who comes out from the Father. When he comes, he will testify about me.
But I am telling you the truth: my going away is to your advantage.

Warumi matumizi 8
God’s wrath is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wrongdoing of people who by their wrongdoing hold down the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God himself has made it plain to them.
So God handed them over, in the cravings of their hearts, to impurity, and they dishonored their bodies with one another. They traded the truth about God for the lie. They bowed down to the creation and served it, instead of the one who created it, who is blessed forever. Amen.
We know that God’s judgment on those who do such things rests on the truth.
But for those who are driven by selfish ambition, who reject the truth and follow wrongdoing instead, there will be wrath and fury. There will be trouble and anguish for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek.
Now you call yourself a Jew. You rely on the law and take pride in God. You know his will, and because the law has taught you, you can tell what matters most. You are sure that you can guide the blind and be a light to people in the dark, one who corrects the foolish and teaches the young, because in the law you have the very shape of knowledge and truth. So you teach others; will you not teach yourself?
But if my falsehood makes God’s truth shine out all the more, to his glory, why am I, too, still judged a sinner? And why not do what some slander us by saying we teach: “Let us do evil so that good may come of it”?
I am telling the truth in Christ; I am not lying. My conscience, in the Holy Spirit, bears witness with me that my sorrow is great and the pain in my heart never stops.
For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised for the sake of God’s truth, to make good the promises given to the patriarchs, and so that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. So let us keep the festival, not with old yeast, nor with yeast that is malice and wickedness, but with bread made without yeast: sincerity and truth.
Love is patient; love is kind. Love does not envy, does not show off, is not puffed up. It does not behave shamefully, it does not look for its own advantage, it does not lose its temper, and it does not keep a tally of wrongs. It takes no pleasure in wrongdoing, but shares the joy of the truth.

So, since we hold this ministry because God showed us mercy, we do not give up. We have refused the hidden ways that people are ashamed of. We do not act with trickery, and we do not dilute the word of God. Instead, we make the truth plain, and that is how we recommend ourselves to the conscience of every person, before God.
We give no one any reason to stumble in anything, so that no fault can be found with our ministry. Instead, in everything we recommend ourselves as God’s servants do: with great endurance, in hardships, in calamities, in tight corners, in beatings, in prisons, in riots, in toil, in sleepless nights, in going without food; by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by love that is real, by speaking the truth, by the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; in honor and in disgrace, in slander and in praise. We are taken for deceivers, yet we are honest; for unknowns, yet we are well known; for dying, and yet here we are, alive; for people under discipline, yet we are not put to death; for grieving, yet we are always full of joy; for poor, yet we bring riches to many; for people with nothing, yet everything is ours.
I had spoken proudly of you to him, and you did not let me down. We have always spoken the truth to you, and in the same way the proud things we said about you to Titus have turned out to be the truth.
I declare by the truth of Christ that is in me: this boast of mine will not be silenced anywhere in the districts of Achaia.
Should I decide to boast, that would not make me a fool, since it would be the truth I spoke. But I hold back. I do not want anyone to think more of me than what they see in me or hear from me, or to think more of me because the revelations were so extraordinary.
We have no power to act against the truth, only to act for it.
Wagalatia matumizi 3
This came up because of false brothers who had been smuggled in. They slipped in to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus, so that they could make us slaves. We did not give in to them, not even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.
But when I saw that they were not walking in step with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all, “You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How then can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?”
You had been running a good race. Who got in your way and turned you from obeying the truth?
Waefeso matumizi 6
And you also are in him. You heard the message of truth, the gospel that brings you salvation, and you believed; and in him you were sealed with the Holy Spirit God had promised. The Spirit is the down payment on our inheritance, until God redeems those who are his own possession, so that his glory will be praised.
But that is not how you learned Christ. You surely heard him and were taught as people who belong to him, in keeping with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught to strip off the old self, the self of your former way of life, which is being ruined by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the spirit of your minds; and to put on the new self, created in God’s likeness, in the righteousness and holiness that come from the truth.
So now that you have stripped off falsehood, each of you must tell your neighbor the truth, for we are members of one another.
Once you were darkness itself; now, in the Lord, you are light. So conduct your lives as children of light. What light produces is goodness, righteousness and truth of every kind. Put things to the test, and learn what is pleasing to the Lord.

So stand your ground. Tie truth around your waist as a belt, and put on righteousness as your breastplate. For shoes, put on the readiness that the gospel of peace gives. In every situation take up faith as your shield; with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows of the evil one.

Wakolosai matumizi 2
Every time we pray for you, we give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s holy people. That faith and love spring from the hope kept safe for you in heaven, the hope you first heard about in the message of truth, the gospel that has reached you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, and it has done the same among you from the day you heard it and came to know God’s grace in all its truth. You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who serves Christ faithfully on our behalf. He is also the one who told us about your love in the Spirit.
2 Wathesalonike matumizi 3
Then the lawless one will be unveiled, and the Lord Jesus will destroy him with the breath of his mouth and bring him to nothing by the brightness of his coming. The lawless one comes by Satan’s working, with all kinds of power, with false signs and wonders, and with every evil trick to deceive those who are on the way to ruin. They are lost because they would not welcome the love of the truth, which would have saved them.
That is why God sends them a deluding power, so that they put their trust in the lie, and judgment comes on all who refused to believe the truth and chose to take pleasure in what is wrong.
But we must always thank God for you, brothers and sisters whom the Lord loves, because God chose you, as the first of a harvest, to be saved, through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your faith in the truth. To this he called you when we brought you the gospel, so that you would come to possess the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Timotheo matumizi 6
This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to know the truth.
For this purpose I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth; I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
I am writing you these things, though I hope to come to you soon, so that, if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to live in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
The Spirit says clearly that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teaching comes through hypocritical liars whose consciences have been branded as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to keep away from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanks by those who believe and know the truth.
Anyone who teaches something different and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and with teaching that leads to godliness is puffed up with pride and understands nothing. Such people have an unhealthy appetite for controversy and arguments about words. These lead to envy, quarreling, slander and evil suspicions, and to constant friction between people whose minds are corrupted and who have lost hold of the truth. They think godliness is a way to make money.
2 Timotheo matumizi 6
Make every effort to stand before God tested and approved, a worker with nothing to be ashamed of, who handles the message of truth correctly.
Neno lililoamuliwa halitumiki katika: Rahisi
the message of truth “Message” is plainer than “word” here; the key term “truth” stays.
Stay away from godless, empty chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly, and their teaching will spread like gangrene. Hymenaeus and Philetus are among them. They have wandered away from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and they are destroying the faith of some.
The Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach and patient with difficult people, gently correcting those who oppose him. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and they will come to know the truth, and come to their senses and escape the trap of the devil, who has held them captive to do his will.
Among them are those who worm their way into homes and gain control over vulnerable women who are weighed down with sins and swayed by all kinds of desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these people oppose the truth. Their minds are corrupt, and they have failed the test of faith.
For a time will come when people will not put up with sound teaching. Instead, wanting to hear what their ears itch for, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to suit their own desires. They will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
Tito matumizi 2
From Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I was sent to bring God’s chosen people to faith and to the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness, a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life. God, who never lies, promised this life before eternal ages began, and at the right time he made his word known through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior. To Titus, my true son in the faith we share: grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
So rebuke them sharply, so that they may be sound in the faith and pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the commands of people who reject the truth.
Waebrania matumizi 1
If we keep on sinning on purpose after we have come to know the truth, there is no sacrifice for sins left for us. All that remains is a terrifying prospect of judgment and of a blazing fire that will devour those who oppose God.
Yakobo matumizi 3
It was his will to give us birth through the word of truth, so that we might be something like the firstfruits among all he has created.
But if bitter jealousy and selfish ambition fill your hearts, do not boast, and do not lie against the truth.
My brothers and sisters, if one of you wanders away from the truth and someone brings that person back, let the one who does so know this: whoever brings a sinner back from the wrong path will save that sinner’s soul from death and will cover a great number of sins.
1 Petro matumizi 1
Now that you have made yourselves pure by obeying the truth, so that you have a genuine love for your brothers and sisters, keep loving one another from the heart with all your strength. You have been born anew, not from a seed that dies but from one that cannot die, through the word of God, which is alive and lasts.
2 Petro matumizi 2
So I will keep on reminding you of these things, though you already know them and stand firm in the truth that has come to you.
Many people will follow their shameless ways, and because of them the way of truth will be slandered.
1 Yohana matumizi 9
If we claim to have fellowship with him while we go on walking in the darkness, we are lying and are not living by the truth.
If we claim that we are free from sin, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Anyone who says, “I have come to know him,” but does not keep his commands is a liar, and the truth is not in them.
My reason for writing to you is not that you are ignorant of the truth. It is that you know it, and that nothing false ever comes from the truth.
Dear children, let us love not by what we say or with our tongues, but by what we do and in truth.
This is how we will know that we belong to the truth, and how we will set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us: God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
That is how we tell the Spirit of truth from the spirit of falsehood.
This is the one who came by water and blood: Jesus Christ. He came not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
2 Yohana matumizi 5
From the elder, to the chosen lady and her children. I love you in truth, and I am not the only one: so do all who have come to know the truth. We love you because of the truth that remains in us and will be with us forever.
Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, in truth and love.
I was very glad when I found some of your children living in the truth, in keeping with the command we received from the Father.
3 Yohana matumizi 6
The elder, to my dear friend Gaius, whom I love in truth.
It made me very glad when brothers and sisters arrived and testified to your faithfulness to the truth, how you are walking in the truth.
No joy of mine is greater than this: to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
It is our duty, then, to take in and support such people, and so become fellow workers with the truth.
Everyone testifies in favor of Demetrius, and so does the truth itself. We too testify for him, and you know that our testimony is true.
