Luka matumizi 3
Suppose someone wins the whole world but is ruined and loses themselves. What has that person gained?
That is why the Wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles. They will kill some of them and hunt down others.’ And so the blood of all the prophets shed since the world was founded will be charged to this generation, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who died between the altar and the house of God. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be charged with it.
So do not be always looking for what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not be on edge about it. These are the things that the nations of the world chase after, but your Father knows that you need them.
Yohana matumizi 78

And this is how the judgment falls: the light has come into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, because the things they did were evil.
Because of his own word many more came to believe. They said to the woman, “It is no longer your report that makes us believe. We have listened to him ourselves, and we know that he is indeed the Savior of the world.”

I will ask the Father, and in answer he will give you another Advocate, who will be with you forever. This is the Spirit of truth. The world is not able to receive him, since it does not see him and does not know him. But you know him, for he remains with you, and he will be in you.
In a short time the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Because I live, you too will live.

and about judgment, because the ruler of this world stands judged.
Truly, truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn aloud, but the world will rejoice. You will be full of sorrow, but your sorrow will become joy.
When a woman is giving birth she has sorrow, because her hour has come. But once her child is born, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.

I am no longer in the world, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you.
But now I am coming to you, and I speak these words while still in the world, so that within themselves they may have my joy complete.
I have given your word to them, and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.
They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
Just as you sent me into the world, I in the same way have sent them into the world.
I am not asking on behalf of these alone. My prayer is also for those who are going to believe in me through their message. Father, I ask that all of them may be one. Just as you are in me and I am in you, so may they too be in us, so that the world may come to believe that you sent me.
The glory that you have given me I have given to them, so that they may be one just as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. So may they be brought to perfect oneness, and the world will know that you sent me and loved them just as you loved me.
Father, all that you have given me: it is my will that they too may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you gave me because you loved me before the world was founded.
Righteous Father, even though the world has never known you, I have known you, and these disciples have come to know that you sent me. I have made your name known to them, and I will go on making it known, so that the love you have had for me may be in them, and I in them.”
Jesus answered, “I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple courts, where all the Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret.
Jesus answered, “My kingdom does not come from this world. If it did, my servants would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here.”
I was born for this, and I came into the world for this: to testify to the truth. All who belong to the truth listen to my voice.
Jesus did many other things as well. If each one were written down, I suppose that even the world itself could not hold all the books that would be written.
Matendo matumizi 1
God, who made the world and all that is in it, is himself Lord of heaven and earth. He does not dwell in shrines that hands have made. Nor do human hands wait on him as if he lacked anything, since it is he who gives life and breath and all things to everyone.
Warumi matumizi 9
To begin with, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for every one of you, because people throughout the whole world are speaking of your faith.
Since the world was made, what cannot be seen of God, his everlasting power and divine nature, has been in plain view, understood from the things he made. So they have no excuse. Although they knew God, they did not give him glory as God or thank him. Their reasoning turned to emptiness, and darkness filled their senseless hearts.
Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world?
We know that what the law says is addressed to those who live under the law. It is said so that every mouth will be closed and the whole world will stand accountable to God.
The promise that he would inherit the world did not come to Abraham or to his offspring through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Therefore, just as through one man sin came into the world, and death came by sin, and so death reached all people because all sinned— for sin was already in the world before the law was given, but where there is no law, sin is not entered in the account. Even so, death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over people whose sin was not like Adam’s breaking of a command. And Adam is a pattern of the one who was to come.
Now if their wrongdoing means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches their fullness will bring!
For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean? Nothing less than life from the dead!
1 Wakorintho matumizi 21
Has God not shown the world’s wisdom to be foolishness?
For in God’s wisdom the world, with all its wisdom, did not come to know him. So it was God’s good pleasure to save those who believe through the message we preach, foolishness though it seems.
1 Wakorintho 1:27 1 Wakorintho 1:28
Instead, God chose what the world counts foolish, to put the wise to shame. God chose what the world counts weak, to put the strong to shame. God chose what the world counts low and despises, things that are nothing, to cancel out the things that are something, so that no human being could ever boast in God’s presence.
We, for our part, have not received the spirit of the world. We have received the Spirit who comes from God, so that we may recognize all that God has graciously given us.
Let no one fool themselves. Anyone among you who thinks they are wise in this present age must become a fool in order to become wise. What this world calls wisdom is foolishness in the eyes of God, for Scripture says, “He traps the wise in their own cleverness.”
So let no one take pride in mere human beings. Everything is yours: Paul or Apollos or Cephas, the world, life or death, what is here now or what is still to come. It all belongs to you, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
As I see it, God has brought us apostles out last of all, like condemned prisoners led in to die. We have become a show for the world to watch, angels and human beings alike.
Even now, at this very hour, we are hungry and thirsty, dressed in rags, beaten, with no place to call home. We toil, working with our own hands. Insulted, we bless; persecuted, we hold out; slandered, we reply with kind words. Right up to now we are treated like the dirt the world sweeps away, the scrapings everyone throws out.
When I wrote to you in my earlier letter, I told you not to mix with sexually immoral people. I did not mean the sexually immoral people of this world in general, nor the greedy and swindlers, nor idolaters. To do that, you would need to leave the world altogether.
Or do you not know that God’s holy people will judge the world?
And if the world is to be judged by you, are you not fit to settle the most trivial of cases?
Here is my point, brothers and sisters: the time has been cut short. So from now on, married men should be as though they had no wives, those who weep as though they did not weep, those who rejoice as though they did not rejoice, those who buy as though they kept nothing, and those who deal with the world as though they did not use it to the full. For this world’s present shape is passing away.
But the married man gives his care to the things of the world, how he may please his wife, and he is pulled two ways.
And the unmarried woman, or the young woman who has never married, gives her care to the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy in body as well as in spirit. But the married woman gives her care to the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
So, to come back to eating food offered to idols: we know that “no idol in the world is anything real,” and that “there is no God except one.”
But when the Lord judges us, he is correcting us, to keep us from being condemned along with the world.
Who knows how many languages there are in the world? And not one of them is without meaning.
2 Wakorintho matumizi 3
Here is what we take pride in, and our conscience confirms it: in the world at large, and still more with you, we have behaved with a holiness and sincerity that come from God, guided not by merely human wisdom but by the grace of God.
And all of it is God’s doing. Through Christ he has reconciled us to himself, and he has given us the ministry of reconciliation. For it was God who, in Christ, was at work reconciling the world to himself. He did not hold their trespasses against them, and he has put the word of reconciliation in our keeping.
Grief that follows God’s way produces repentance that leads to salvation, a repentance no one will ever regret. But grief that follows the world’s way produces death.
Wagalatia matumizi 3
In the same way we too, when we were children, were held as slaves under the elemental forces of the world.
But far be it from me to boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through that cross the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Waefeso matumizi 3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Christ he has blessed us with every blessing the Spirit gives in the heavenly places. Even before the world was founded, God chose us in Christ, so that we would be holy and without blemish before him in love. He marked us out beforehand to be adopted as his own sons and daughters through Jesus Christ. That was what he gladly willed, so that his glorious grace would be praised, the grace he has freely given us in the Beloved. In him and through his blood we have redemption, the forgiveness of our wrongdoing. We have it because God’s grace is so rich, grace that he has poured out on us in abundance, with all wisdom and understanding. He has made known to us the mystery of his will, as it pleased him to do. He set out this purpose in Christ as his plan for when the times reach their fullness: to bring all things together under one head in Christ, things in heaven and things on earth, all in him. In him we too have been claimed as God’s own portion. We were marked out for this beforehand by the purpose of God, who works out everything as his will determines, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ would bring praise to his glory.
As for you, you were dead in your trespasses and sins. You once lived in them, following the way of this world in its present age and following the ruler of the realm of the air, the ruler of the spirit now at work in those who disobey.
So remember what you once were: Gentiles by birth, labeled “the uncircumcised” by those who are called “the circumcised”, a circumcision performed on the body by human hands. Remember that at that time you were without Christ. You were excluded from citizenship in Israel and were strangers to the covenants built on God’s promise. You had no hope, and you were without God in the world.
Wafilipi matumizi 1
In all you do, avoid complaining and quarreling, so that no one can fault you and you stay pure, God’s children without blemish in the midst of a crooked and distorted generation. Among these people you shine like stars in the world as you keep a firm grip on the word of life. That way, when the day of Christ comes, I can be proud that my running was not wasted and my hard work was not wasted.
Wakolosai matumizi 4
Every time we pray for you, we give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s holy people. That faith and love spring from the hope kept safe for you in heaven, the hope you first heard about in the message of truth, the gospel that has reached you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, and it has done the same among you from the day you heard it and came to know God’s grace in all its truth. You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who serves Christ faithfully on our behalf. He is also the one who told us about your love in the Spirit.
Watch out, so that no one carries you off like captives by means of philosophy that is empty deceit. It follows human tradition and the elemental forces of the world, not Christ.
Since you died with Christ and were set free from the elemental forces of the world, why do you live as though you still belonged to the world? Why submit to rules like “Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch”? All these things are meant to be used up and to perish. Such rules come from human commands and teachings.
1 Timotheo matumizi 3
Here is a saying you can rely on, which deserves to be fully accepted: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and I am the worst of them. But I was shown mercy for this very reason: so that in me, the worst of all, Christ Jesus could show how completely patient he is, as an example for those who would come to believe in him and receive eternal life.
Beyond all question, the mystery of our faith is great: He was revealed in a human body, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed in throughout the world, taken up in glory.
For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.
Waebrania matumizi 5
For it is we who have believed who enter that rest, just as he has said, “So in my anger I swore an oath: ‘They will never enter my rest.’” Yet his works had been finished since the world was founded. For somewhere he has spoken of the seventh day in these words: “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.” And in this passage again: “They will never enter my rest.”
And he did not enter to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest goes into the sanctuary each year with blood that belongs to another. If that were so, he would have needed to suffer many times over, ever since the world was founded. Instead, he has now been revealed once, when the ages reach their completion, to set sin aside through his sacrifice.
That is why, as Christ comes into the world, he says: “Sacrifice and offering you did not want, but a body you have made ready for me.”
By faith Noah, warned by God about what could not yet be seen, acted with reverence and built an ark for the salvation of his household. Through this he passed sentence on the world, and he came to inherit the righteousness that faith brings.
They were stoned, sawn in two, cut down by the sword. They roamed about wearing the skins of sheep and goats, lacking everything, oppressed, treated cruelly. The world did not deserve such people. They wandered over deserts and mountains, and sheltered in caves and in holes in the earth.
Yakobo matumizi 5
To God the Father, religion that is pure and untainted looks like this: going to the help of orphans and widows in their trouble, and keeping yourself unstained by the world.
Has not God chosen those who are poor in the world’s eyes to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised to those who love him?
And the tongue is a fire. It takes its place among the parts of our body as a world of wrongdoing: it stains the whole body, it sets the whole course of life on fire, and it is itself set on fire by hell.
Adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God?
So whoever decides to be a friend of the world is taking a stand as an enemy of God.
1 Petro matumizi 3
If you call on God as Father, the one who judges each person by what they have done and shows no favoritism, then live in fear of him for as long as you are strangers far from home. For you know the price of your release from the useless way of living you inherited from your forefathers. That price was not silver or gold, things that decay, but the precious blood of Christ, who was like a lamb without flaw or stain. God knew him before the world was made, and in this final age he has made him known for your sake. It is through him that you trust in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory. So your faith and hope are fixed on God.
Do not let your adornment be the outward kind: braided hair, gold ornaments, and the clothes you put on. Let it be the hidden self of the heart, adorned with what never decays, a gentle and quiet spirit, which God values highly.

Stand up to him and hold firm in your faith. You know that your brothers and sisters all over the world are enduring these same sufferings.
2 Petro matumizi 5
By his divine power we have been given every gift that leads to life and godliness, through knowing the one who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his promises, precious and greater than any other, so that through them you may come to share in the divine nature, now that you have escaped the decay that desire has brought into the world.
God did not spare the angels who sinned. He threw them down into Tartarus and handed them over to chains of deepest darkness, where they are held for judgment. Nor did he spare the ancient world. When he brought the flood on a world of ungodly people, he kept Noah safe with seven others, Noah who proclaimed righteousness. He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ruin and burned them to ashes, and made them an example of what is coming to the ungodly. But he rescued Lot, a righteous man who was worn down by the shameless conduct of lawless people. Living among them day after day, that righteous man tormented his righteous soul over the lawless deeds he saw and heard. If God did all this, then clearly the Lord knows how to rescue those who are godly from their trials, and how to hold the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, above all those who chase after the flesh with its defiling desires and who look down on the Lord’s authority.
For if they have escaped the filth of the world by knowing the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and then get tangled up in it again and overcome, they end up worse off than they were at the start.
They choose to overlook this: long ago, by the word of God, the heavens came into being, and the earth was formed out of water and by means of water. By these, water and word, the world of that time was flooded and destroyed.
1 Yohana matumizi 23
Yet if anyone does sin, we have an advocate in the Father’s presence, Jesus Christ, who is righteous. He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins, and not for ours alone but for the sins of the whole world.
Do not give your love to the world or to the things that are in it.
Whoever loves the world has no love for the Father in them.
For everything in the world—the cravings of human nature, the greed of the eyes, and arrogant pride in what one has—does not come from the Father but comes from the world.
The world is passing away, and its cravings with it; but the one who does God’s will remains forever.
The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
Do not be astonished, brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.
Suppose someone has enough of this world’s goods and notices a brother or sister in need, yet shuts their heart against them. How can the love of God remain in such a person?
Dear friends, do not believe just any spirit; test the spirits to find out whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out and are now in the world.
Here is how you recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ as one who has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist; you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.
As for you, dear children, you belong to God, and you have already won the victory over them, because the one in you is greater than the one in the world.
They belong to the world, so what they say comes from the world, and the world listens to them.
This is how God’s love was made visible among us: God has sent his one and only Son into the world, so that through him we may have life.
We have seen it with our own eyes, and we testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.
In this way love has been brought to completion among us, so that we may have confidence on the day of judgment, for just as he is, so are we in this world.
For to love God is to keep his commandments, and his commandments are no burden, because everything born of God overcomes the world.
And our faith is the victory that overcame the world.
Who overcomes the world, if not the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
We know that we belong to God, and that the whole world lies in the grip of the evil one.
2 Yohana matumizi 1
For many deceivers have gone out into the world, people who do not confess Jesus Christ as one who has come in the flesh. A person like that is the deceiver and the antichrist.
Ufunuo matumizi 3
Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and loud voices in heaven said: “The rule over the world now belongs to our Lord and to his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.”
All who live on the earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written, since the world was founded, in the book of life belonging to the Lamb who was slaughtered.
The beast that you saw existed once and exists no longer; it is going to rise out of the abyss, and it goes on to destruction. The people of the earth, those whose names have not been written in the book of life since the world was founded, will marvel to see the beast, for it was, and is not, and will be present again.
