Efesios 6 usos
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Christ he has blessed us with every blessing the Spirit gives in the heavenly places. Even before the world was founded, God chose us in Christ, so that we would be holy and without blemish before him in love. He marked us out beforehand to be adopted as his own sons and daughters through Jesus Christ. That was what he gladly willed, so that his glorious grace would be praised, the grace he has freely given us in the Beloved. In him and through his blood we have redemption, the forgiveness of our wrongdoing. We have it because God’s grace is so rich, grace that he has poured out on us in abundance, with all wisdom and understanding. He has made known to us the mystery of his will, as it pleased him to do. He set out this purpose in Christ as his plan for when the times reach their fullness: to bring all things together under one head in Christ, things in heaven and things on earth, all in him. In him we too have been claimed as God’s own portion. We were marked out for this beforehand by the purpose of God, who works out everything as his will determines, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ would bring praise to his glory.
Efesios 3:3 Efesios 3:4 Efesios 3:9
God made the mystery known to me by revelation, as I have briefly written already. When you read this, you will be able to see my understanding of the mystery of Christ. In other generations it was not made known to humankind as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to his holy apostles and prophets. This is the mystery: through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace, which was given to me through the working of his power. Though I am less than the least of all God’s holy people, this grace was given to me: to bring the Gentiles the good news of the riches of Christ, riches no one can ever fully trace, and to make plain to everyone how the mystery is being carried out, the mystery that for ages past was hidden in God, who created all things. God’s aim was that now, through the church, his wisdom in all its rich variety would be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was in keeping with the purpose he has had through all the ages, which he carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him, through faith in him, we can come to God boldly and with confidence.
There is a great mystery here, but I am speaking about Christ and the church.
Receive salvation as your helmet, and the sword that the Spirit gives, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at every opportunity, with every kind of prayer and request. To that end, keep watch, never giving up, and make requests for all God’s holy people. Pray also for me, that when I open my mouth I will be given the words to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel. For its sake I am an ambassador, though in a chain. Pray that I may speak of it boldly, as I must.
Colosenses 4 usos
Colosenses 1:26 Colosenses 1:27
Now I am glad to suffer for your sake. In my own body I am completing what is still lacking in Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, the church. I became its servant by the task God gave me for your benefit: to make the word of God fully known, the mystery that was kept hidden through all past ages and generations but has now been revealed to his holy people. God chose to make known to them how rich and glorious this mystery is among the Gentiles. The mystery is this: Christ in you, the hope of glory.
I want you to know how hard I am struggling for you, for those in Laodicea, and for everyone who has never met me in person. My aim is that their hearts may be encouraged as they are joined together in love, and that they may have all the riches of understanding held with full confidence, so that they know God’s mystery, which is Christ himself. In him all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge lie hidden.
Keep on praying, and stay alert as you pray, giving thanks. Pray for us too, that God will open a door for our message, so that we can tell the mystery of Christ, which is why I am in chains. Pray that I may make it clear, as I ought to.
