Lucas 1 uso
“Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for he has come to help his people and set them free. He has raised up a mighty power to save us in the house of his servant David, as he promised long ago through the mouth of his holy prophets: salvation from our enemies and from the grip of all who hate us. So he has shown the mercy promised to our ancestors and remembered his holy covenant, the oath he swore to our father Abraham: to grant us that we, rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
Juan 2 usos
When he comes, he will show the world to be in the wrong about sin, about righteousness and about judgment:
about righteousness, because I go to the Father and you will see me no longer;

In it the righteousness of God is being revealed, from faith for faith. As it is written, “The one who is righteous will live by faith.”
But if our wrongdoing brings out God’s righteousness more clearly, what are we to say?
But now God’s righteousness has come to light apart from the law, though the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it. It is God’s righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ, for all who believe. No one is treated differently.
God put him forward as the means of atonement, by his blood, to be received through faith. He did this to show his righteousness, since he had passed over the sins committed before, when God held back his judgment. He did it to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he would be righteous and also the one who declares righteous whoever has faith in Jesus.
“Abraham believed God, and that was counted to him as righteousness.”
But to someone who does no work, yet believes in the God who declares the ungodly righteous, that faith is counted as righteousness. David says the same when he speaks of the happiness of the one whom God counts as righteous apart from works:
We have been saying that Abraham’s faith was counted to him as righteousness.
Circumcision was given to him afterward as a sign, a seal on the righteousness that was already his by faith before he was circumcised. In this way he is father to everyone who believes without being circumcised, so that righteousness is counted to them. And he is father to the circumcised as well: not to those who are merely circumcised, but to those who walk the same road of faith our father Abraham walked while still uncircumcised.
The promise that he would inherit the world did not come to Abraham or to his offspring through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
That is why “it was counted to him as righteousness.”
If death reigned through one man because of that one man’s trespass, it is far more certain that those who receive grace in full measure and the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
The law came in alongside, so that the trespass would multiply. But where sin multiplied, grace overflowed far beyond it, so that, as sin held its reign through death, grace in turn might reign through righteousness and lead to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
So do not let sin reign as king in your mortal body, making you obey its desires. Do not keep handing over the parts of your body to sin as weapons for wrongdoing. Instead, hand yourselves over to God, as people who were dead and are now alive, and hand over the parts of your body to God as weapons for righteousness.
Surely you know this: if you put yourselves at someone’s disposal as slaves, ready to obey, then you belong as slaves to the one you obey. That master is either sin, bringing death, or obedience, bringing righteousness.
But God be thanked! Once you were slaves of sin, yet you gave wholehearted obedience to the pattern of teaching into whose care you were handed. Freed from sin, you were made slaves of righteousness.
I am putting this in everyday human terms because of your natural human weakness. Just as you once handed over the parts of your body as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, which only led to more lawlessness, so now hand them over as slaves to righteousness, leading to holiness.
Back when sin owned you as slaves, you were free, as far as righteousness was concerned.
But if Christ is in you, the body is marked for death because of sin, but the Spirit is life for you because of righteousness.

For Christ is the end of the law, bringing righteousness to everyone who believes.
Moses writes this about the righteousness that comes from the law: “The person who does it will live by it.”
But the righteousness that comes from faith speaks like this: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will go up into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down).
For people believe with the heart, and this leads to righteousness; they confess with the mouth, and this leads to salvation.
For the kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking. It is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
1 Corintios 1 uso
It is God who has placed you in Christ Jesus, and he has become God’s wisdom for us, which means our righteousness, our holiness and our redemption. So, as Scripture says, “Whoever boasts should boast in the Lord.”
2 Corintios 7 usos
For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness overflows with far more glory.
Christ had never known sin, yet for our sake God made him to be sin, so that, united with him, we might become God’s righteousness.
We give no one any reason to stumble in anything, so that no fault can be found with our ministry. Instead, in everything we recommend ourselves as God’s servants do: with great endurance, in hardships, in calamities, in tight corners, in beatings, in prisons, in riots, in toil, in sleepless nights, in going without food; by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by love that is real, by speaking the truth, by the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; in honor and in disgrace, in slander and in praise. We are taken for deceivers, yet we are honest; for unknowns, yet we are well known; for dying, and yet here we are, alive; for people under discipline, yet we are not put to death; for grieving, yet we are always full of joy; for poor, yet we bring riches to many; for people with nothing, yet everything is ours.
Do not be unevenly yoked with unbelievers. Can righteousness and lawlessness be partners? Can light and darkness share anything?
As it is written: “He has scattered his gifts far and wide and given to people in need; his righteousness lasts forever.”
God, who provides seed for the sower and bread to eat, will provide you with seed as well, and multiply it, and make your righteousness yield a bigger harvest.
So it is no great thing if his servants also pass themselves off as servants of righteousness. Their end will match what they have done.
Gálatas 4 usos
I do not cancel out God’s grace. For if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing at all.
So it was with Abraham: he believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.
Certainly not! Had any law been given with the power to make people alive, then righteousness would in fact come by way of the law.
But we, by the Spirit and on the ground of faith, are eagerly waiting for the righteousness we hope for.
Efesios 3 usos
But that is not how you learned Christ. You surely heard him and were taught as people who belong to him, in keeping with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught to strip off the old self, the self of your former way of life, which is being ruined by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the spirit of your minds; and to put on the new self, created in God’s likeness, in the righteousness and holiness that come from the truth.
Once you were darkness itself; now, in the Lord, you are light. So conduct your lives as children of light. What light produces is goodness, righteousness and truth of every kind. Put things to the test, and learn what is pleasing to the Lord.

So stand your ground. Tie truth around your waist as a belt, and put on righteousness as your breastplate. For shoes, put on the readiness that the gospel of peace gives. In every situation take up faith as your shield; with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows of the evil one.
Filipenses 4 usos
And this is what I pray: that your love will overflow more and more, with full knowledge and every kind of insight, so that you can test and recognize what really matters. Then on the day of Christ you will be pure and free from stumbling, full of the fruit of righteousness that is produced through Jesus Christ, so that God receives glory and praise.
If anyone else thinks there are grounds for confidence in human credentials, I have more. I was circumcised on the eighth day. I belong to the people of Israel and the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew born of Hebrews. In keeping the law I was a Pharisee; in zeal I persecuted the church; in righteousness as the law defines it, I was beyond reproach.
More than that, I count everything as loss because knowing Christ Jesus my Lord is worth far more than all of it. For his sake I have lost everything, and I count it all as dung, so that I may gain Christ and be found in him, with no righteousness of my own from keeping the law, but with the righteousness that comes through faith in Christ: righteousness from God, resting on faith. I want to know him, to know the power of his resurrection and what it is to share in his sufferings, as I am being shaped into the likeness of his death, hoping that somehow I may arrive at the resurrection from the dead.
1 Timoteo 1 uso
But you, man of God, run from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
2 Timoteo 3 usos

Now there is waiting for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Tito 1 uso
But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

Whoever feeds on milk has no experience in the word of righteousness; that person is still an infant.
This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham, who was coming back from defeating the kings, and blessed him, and Abraham set aside for him a tenth of everything. Translated, his name means first of all “king of righteousness”; and he is also king of Salem, which means “king of peace.” He is without father, without mother, without genealogy, with no beginning of days and no end of life. Made like the Son of God, he remains a priest for all time.
By faith Noah, warned by God about what could not yet be seen, acted with reverence and built an ark for the salvation of his household. Through this he passed sentence on the world, and he came to inherit the righteousness that faith brings.

Santiago 3 usos

1 Pedro 2 usos

2 Pedro 4 usos
From Simeon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who, through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ, have received a faith that is worth just as much as our own.
God did not spare the angels who sinned. He threw them down into Tartarus and handed them over to chains of deepest darkness, where they are held for judgment. Nor did he spare the ancient world. When he brought the flood on a world of ungodly people, he kept Noah safe with seven others, Noah who proclaimed righteousness. He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ruin and burned them to ashes, and made them an example of what is coming to the ungodly. But he rescued Lot, a righteous man who was worn down by the shameless conduct of lawless people. Living among them day after day, that righteous man tormented his righteous soul over the lawless deeds he saw and heard. If God did all this, then clearly the Lord knows how to rescue those who are godly from their trials, and how to hold the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, above all those who chase after the flesh with its defiling desires and who look down on the Lord’s authority.
They would have been better off never knowing the way of righteousness than knowing it and then abandoning the holy commandment entrusted to them.
But we are looking forward to what he promised: new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness is at home.
1 Juan 3 usos
Since you know that he is righteous, you can be sure that everyone who does what is righteous has been born of him.
Dear children, do not let anyone mislead you: it is the person who practices righteousness who is righteous, just as he is righteous.
This is how it becomes clear who are God’s children and who are the devil’s children: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not from God, and neither is anyone who does not love their brother or sister.
Apocalipsis 2 usos
Heaven opened before my eyes, and I saw a white horse. The one who sat on it is named Faithful and True; in righteousness he judges and goes to war.
Whoever does wrong, let them keep on doing wrong; whoever is filthy, let them keep on being filthy; whoever is righteous, let them keep on doing righteousness; whoever is holy, let them keep on being holy.”
