Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to break camp and go forward.

  153. Exode 14:18

The Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I have won glory at the expense of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

  154. Exode 14:21

Moses held his hand out over the sea, and all night long the LORD pushed the sea back with a powerful east wind. He turned the sea into dry land, and the waters were split apart.

  155. Exode 14:24

In the last hours of the night, before morning, the LORD looked down on the Egyptian camp from the pillar of fire and cloud and threw the camp into panic.

  156. Exode 14:25

He made the wheels come off their chariots, so that they could hardly drive. Then the Egyptians said, “We must run from Israel, because the LORD is fighting on their side against Egypt!”

  157. Exode 14:26

The LORD said to Moses, “Hold your hand out over the sea, and the waters will flow back over the Egyptians, over their chariots and their horsemen.”

  158. Exode 14:27

So Moses held his hand out over the sea, and as morning broke the sea went back to its usual flow. The Egyptians were fleeing straight into it, and the LORD shook them off into the middle of the sea.

  159. Exode 14:30

So on that day the LORD saved Israel from the power of Egypt, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead along the edge of the sea.

  160. Exode 14:31

Israel had seen the great hand of the LORD at work against Egypt. So the people feared the LORD, and they believed in the LORD and in Moses, his servant.

  161. Exode 15:1

Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD: “I will sing to the LORD, for he is lifted high in triumph; horse and rider he has flung into the sea.

  162. Exode 15:3

The LORD is a man of war; his name is the LORD.

  163. Exode 15:6

O LORD, your right hand is splendid in power; O LORD, your right hand smashed the enemy.

  164. Exode 15:11

Among the gods, who compares with you, O LORD? Who is like you, splendid in holiness, fearsome in deeds of praise, doer of wonders?

  165. Exode 15:16

Fear and dread came down on them; at the might of your arm they stood silent as stone, while your people crossed over, O LORD, while the people you made your own crossed over.

  166. Exode 15:17

You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance, the place you have prepared for your dwelling, O LORD, the sanctuary, O Lord, that your own hands set firm.

  167. Exode 15:18

The LORD will reign forever and ever!”

  168. Exode 15:19

Pharaoh’s horses, with his chariots and his horsemen, had gone into the sea, and the LORD had turned the sea’s waters back on top of them; but the Israelites had walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground.

  169. Exode 15:21

Miriam led them in the refrain: “Sing to the LORD, for he is lifted high in triumph; horse and rider he has flung into the sea.”

  170. Exode 15:25

Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD pointed him to a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water turned sweet. It was there that the LORD laid down a statute and a rule for them, and there that he put them to the test.

  171. Exode 15:26

He said, “If you listen closely to the voice of the LORD your God and do what he sees as right, if you pay heed to his commands and keep all his statutes, I will spare you every one of the sicknesses that I laid on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

  172. Exode 16:3

The Israelites said to them, “We wish we had died at the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt! There we sat beside the pots of meat and ate all the bread we could hold. But you two have brought us out into this wilderness to make this whole assembly die of hunger.”

  173. Exode 16:4

The LORD said to Moses, “I am about to rain bread from heaven for you. Each day the people are to go out and gather the amount needed for that day. By this I will test them, to see whether they will live by my law or not.

  174. Exode 16:6

Moses and Aaron told all the Israelites, “This evening you will come to know that it was the LORD who led you out of the land of Egypt,

  175. Exode 16:7

and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD. For he has heard the grumbling you have aimed at the LORD. As for us, what are we? Why grumble against us?”

  176. Exode 16:8

Moses went on, “You will see this when the LORD gives you meat to eat in the evening, and bread in the morning until you are full, because the LORD has heard the grumbling you direct at him. What are we? Your grumbling is not aimed at us at all, but at the LORD.”

  177. Exode 16:9

Moses told Aaron to tell the whole community of the Israelites to come close and stand before the LORD, because he had heard their grumbling.

  178. Exode 16:10

While Aaron was still addressing the whole community of the Israelites, they turned to face the wilderness, and suddenly the glory of the LORD could be seen in the cloud.

  179. Exode 16:11

Then the LORD said to Moses,

  180. Exode 16:12

“The grumbling of the Israelites has reached my ears. Tell them this: ‘As evening falls you will eat meat, and in the morning you will have your fill of bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.’”

  181. Exode 16:15

“What is it?” the Israelites asked one another when they saw it, since they did not know what it was. Moses answered them, “It is bread, given to you by the LORD as your food.

  182. Exode 16:16

Here is what the LORD has commanded: ‘Each of you is to gather as much as you need to eat, about 2 quarts for every person. The head of each household is to collect it for everyone who lives in his tent.’”

  183. Exode 16:23

He told them, “This is what the LORD said: ‘Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD.’ So today bake whatever you mean to bake and boil whatever you mean to boil. Put aside everything left over and keep it for the morning.”

  184. Exode 16:25

Moses said, “Today, eat this. Today is a Sabbath to the LORD; you will find none of it out in the field today.

  185. Exode 16:28

The LORD said to Moses, “How long will you people go on refusing to keep my commandments and my laws?

  186. Exode 16:29

Understand this: the LORD has given you the Sabbath. That is why on the sixth day he provides you with bread for two days. On the seventh day all of you are to stay where you are; no one is to leave home.”

  187. Exode 16:32

Moses said, “Here is what the LORD has commanded: ‘Set aside a full 2 quarts of it to be kept for your descendants, generation after generation. Then they can look at the bread I gave you to eat in the wilderness after I brought you out of Egypt.’”

  188. Exode 16:33

Moses told Aaron, “Get a jar and put a full 2 quarts of manna into it. Then set it in the presence of the LORD, to be kept for all your generations to come.”

  189. Exode 16:34

Aaron set it in front of the testimony for safekeeping, as the LORD had told Moses to do.

  190. Exode 17:1

The whole community of the Israelites moved on from the wilderness of Sin, traveling in stages as the LORD commanded. They made camp at Rephidim, but there was no water there for the people to drink.

  191. Exode 17:2

The people turned on Moses in a quarrel. “Give us water to drink!” they demanded. Moses answered them, “Why pick a quarrel with me? Why put the LORD to the test?”

  192. Exode 17:4

Moses cried out to the LORD, “What am I going to do with this people? A little more of this, and they will stone me!”

  193. Exode 17:5

The LORD told Moses, “Walk on ahead of the people, and bring some of Israel’s elders with you. Take along your staff, the one you struck the Nile with, hold it in your hand, and go.

  194. Exode 17:7

He named the place Massah, “testing,” and Meribah, “quarreling,” because there the Israelites quarreled, and there they put the LORD to the test by asking, “Is the LORD among us or not?”

  195. Exode 17:14

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Record this in a scroll to be remembered, and say it over to Joshua: I will wipe out the memory of Amalek completely from under the heavens.”

  196. Exode 17:15

Then Moses built an altar there, and he gave it the name “The LORD Is My Banner.”

  197. Exode 17:16

He said, “A hand is lifted to the throne of the LORD! The LORD will fight Amalek generation after generation.”

  198. Exode 18:1

Word reached Jethro, the priest of Midian and Moses’ father-in-law, of everything God had done for Moses and for Israel, his people: the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt.

  199. Exode 18:8

Moses gave his father-in-law a full account of what the LORD had done to Pharaoh and to Egypt on Israel’s behalf. He told of every hardship that had come upon them on their journey, and of how the LORD had delivered them.

  200. Exode 18:9

Jethro was glad because of all the good the LORD had done for Israel when he rescued them from the power of Egypt.

  201. Exode 18:10

Jethro said, “Blessed be the LORD, who has delivered you from the grip of Egypt and of Pharaoh, and has freed this people from under Egypt’s hand.

  202. Exode 18:11

Now I know that the LORD is greater than all the gods, for he showed it in the very matter in which they acted proudly against Israel.”

  203. Exode 19:3

Moses went up to God, and the LORD called out to him from the mountain: “Say this to the house of Jacob, and declare it to the Israelites:

  204. Exode 19:7

Moses came back and called the elders of the people together. He laid out for them all these words, just as the LORD had commanded him.

  205. Exode 19:8

The people answered as one: “We will do everything the LORD has spoken.” And Moses carried the people’s words back to the LORD.

  206. Exode 19:9

The LORD said to Moses, “Look, I am coming to you in a dark, heavy cloud, so that the people will hear when I speak with you and will trust you from now on.” Moses reported the people’s words to the LORD.

  207. Exode 19:10

The LORD told Moses, “Go to the people, and today and tomorrow consecrate them. They must wash their clothes

  208. Exode 19:11

and be prepared for the third day, for on the third day the LORD will descend upon Mount Sinai with all the people watching.

  209. Exode 19:18

All of Mount Sinai was smoking, since the LORD had come down upon it in fire. Its smoke went up like the smoke rising from a kiln, and the entire mountain shook with great force.

  210. Exode 19:20

The LORD came down on Mount Sinai, onto the mountain’s summit, and called Moses up to the summit. So Moses went up.

  211. Exode 19:21

The LORD said to Moses, “Go down and give the people a strict warning, so that they do not push past the boundary toward the LORD to gaze, and many of them fall dead.

  212. Exode 19:22

And the priests who come near to the LORD must also consecrate themselves, so that the LORD does not burst out against them.”

  213. Exode 19:23

Moses answered the LORD, “There is no way the people can climb Mount Sinai. You gave us a warning: ‘Mark out a boundary around the mountain and treat it as holy.’”

  214. Exode 19:24

The LORD answered him, “Go back down, and then return, you and Aaron with you. As for the priests and the people, they are not to push through to come up to the LORD, or he will burst out against them.”

  215. Exode 20:2

“I am the LORD your God. I brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house where you were slaves.

  216. Exode 20:5

You shall neither bow to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God. I bring the guilt of fathers upon their children, upon the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,

  217. Exode 20:7

You shall not use the name of the LORD your God for what is false or worthless, for the LORD will not let anyone go unpunished who uses his name that way.

  218. Exode 20:10

but the seventh day is a Sabbath for the LORD your God. Do no work on it: not you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your livestock, nor the foreigner living among you in your towns.

  219. Exode 20:11

For the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and everything in them, in six days, and on the seventh day he rested. For this reason the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

  220. Exode 20:12

Honor your father and your mother. Then your days will be long in the land the LORD your God is going to give you.

  221. Exode 20:22

The LORD said to Moses, “Say this to the Israelites: ‘You saw with your own eyes that I spoke with you from heaven.

  222. Exode 22:10

Then the two of them shall settle it with an oath of the LORD: the one who kept the animal swears to having taken none of the neighbor’s property. The owner must accept the oath, and nothing has to be paid back.

  223. Exode 22:19

Anyone who offers sacrifice to other gods, and not to the LORD alone, shall be devoted to destruction.

  224. Exode 23:19

The best of your ground’s firstfruits you are to bring to the house of the LORD your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.

  225. Exode 23:25

Serve the LORD your God, and he will bless your bread and your water. I will take sickness away from among you.

  226. Exode 24:1

God also told Moses, “Come up to the LORD, you with Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of Israel’s elders. You are to bow low in worship while still far off.

  227. Exode 24:2

Moses by himself is to approach the LORD. The rest are to stay back, and the people are not to climb the mountain with him.”

  228. Exode 24:3

Moses came and reported to the people all that the LORD had said, every word and every rule. The whole people answered together as one: “We will do every word the LORD has spoken.”

  229. Exode 24:4

Moses put all the words of the LORD in writing. He was up early the next morning to build an altar below the mountain, with twelve pillars, one for each tribe of Israel.

  230. Exode 24:5

He sent out young men of the Israelites. They presented burnt offerings and slaughtered bulls as fellowship offerings for the LORD.

  231. Exode 24:7

Then he took the scroll of the covenant and read it aloud for the people to hear. They answered, “Whatever the LORD has said, we will carry out. We will listen and obey.”

  232. Exode 24:8

Moses took the blood and dashed it over the people. “Look,” he said, “the blood of the covenant, which the LORD has made with you on the terms of all these words.”

  233. Exode 24:12

The LORD said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and remain there. I will give you the tablets of stone, the law and commandment that I have written to teach the people.”

  234. Exode 24:16

The glory of the LORD came to dwell on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered the mountain six days. On the seventh day he called to Moses from inside the cloud.

  235. Exode 24:17

As the Israelites watched, the glory of the LORD appeared on the mountaintop like a fire that devours.

  236. Exode 25:1

    The LORD said to Moses,

  237. Exode 27:21

Aaron and his sons are to tend it in the tent of meeting, outside the curtain that screens the testimony, from evening to morning before the LORD. This is a statute for all time for the Israelites, generation after generation.

  238. Exode 28:12

Put the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel. Aaron will carry their names before the LORD on his two shoulders, for remembrance.

  239. Exode 28:29

So Aaron will carry the names of the sons of Israel on the breastpiece of judgment over his heart whenever he goes into the holy place, to keep them in remembrance before the LORD at all times.

  240. Exode 28:30

Put the Urim and the Thummim into the breastpiece of judgment, so that they are over Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the LORD. So Aaron will always carry, over his heart before the LORD, the judgment of the Israelites.

  241. Exode 28:35

The robe is to be on Aaron when he ministers. As he enters the holy place to stand before the LORD, and as he leaves, its ringing will be heard, and so he will not die.

  242. Exode 28:36

You are to make a plate of pure gold and cut on it, the way a seal is cut, the words ‘Holy to the LORD.’

  243. Exode 28:38

Aaron is to wear it on his forehead. In this way he will carry the guilt of the holy things the Israelites consecrate, whatever holy gifts they bring. It will rest on his forehead at all times, so that they find acceptance before the LORD.

  244. Exode 29:11

Slaughter the bull there before the LORD, at the doorway of the tent of meeting.

  245. Exode 29:18

Send up the whole ram in smoke from the altar as a burnt offering to the LORD. It is an offering by fire to the LORD, with an aroma that pleases him.

  246. Exode 29:23

along with one round loaf of bread, one loaf made with oil, and one wafer from the basket of unleavened bread that stands before the LORD.

  247. Exode 29:24

Set all of it on the open hands of Aaron and his sons, and present it to the LORD with a waving motion as a wave offering.

  248. Exode 29:25

Afterward take these from their hands and send them up in smoke on the altar, on top of the burnt offering, as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. This is an offering by fire to the LORD.

  249. Exode 29:26

Then take the breast from the ram used to ordain Aaron, and present it to the LORD as a wave offering. That piece is to be your share.

  250. Exode 29:28

This will be the lasting share that Aaron and his sons receive from the Israelites. It is a contribution: whenever the Israelites sacrifice fellowship offerings, this part is their contribution to the LORD.

  251. Exode 29:41

The second lamb you will offer as evening falls. Prepare with it a grain offering and a drink offering like those of the morning, an offering by fire to the LORD whose aroma pleases him.

  252. Exode 29:42

This is to be the regular burnt offering, generation after generation, at the doorway of the tent of meeting before the LORD. That is where I will meet with you, to speak to you.

  253. Exode 29:46

Then they will know that I am the LORD their God. I brought them out of the land of Egypt for this purpose, to make my home among them. I am the LORD their God.

  254. Exode 30:8

And when he lights the lamps at dusk he is to burn it again. This is to be the regular incense offered before the LORD, generation after generation.

  255. Exode 30:10

Aaron is to make atonement on its horns one time each year, using blood from the sin offering of atonement. Once every year, generation after generation, atonement is to be made on it. It is most holy to the LORD.”

  256. Exode 30:11

    The LORD said to Moses,

  257. Exode 30:12

“Whenever you take a census of the Israelites and enroll them, every man is to give the LORD a ransom for his life at his enrollment. That way no plague will fall on them while the count is being made.

  258. Exode 30:13

Each one who crosses over to join those already counted is to give this: about 1/5 ounce of silver, weighed by the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs. This silver is a contribution to the LORD.

  259. Exode 30:14

All who cross over to the counted, from twenty years old and up, are to give this contribution to the LORD.

  260. Exode 30:15

When you bring the contribution to the LORD to make atonement for your lives, the rich are not to give more than the 1/5 ounce, nor the poor less.

  261. Exode 30:16

Collect the atonement money from the Israelites and put it toward the work of the tent of meeting. It will be a reminder before the LORD on behalf of the Israelites, making atonement for your lives.”

  262. Exode 30:17

    The LORD said to Moses,

  263. Exode 30:20

Each time they enter the tent of meeting, they must wash with water, so that they do not die. The same is true when they come near the altar to serve by burning an offering by fire to the LORD:

  264. Exode 30:22

    The LORD said to Moses,

  265. Exode 30:34

The LORD said to Moses, “Take fragrant spices, stacte, onycha and galbanum, spices together with pure frankincense, an equal weight of each.

  266. Exode 30:37

As for the incense you are to make, you must never make any by the same recipe for yourselves. You are to count it holy, belonging to the LORD.

  267. Exode 31:1

    The LORD said to Moses,

  268. Exode 31:12

The LORD also said to Moses,

  269. Exode 31:13

“Tell the Israelites: ‘Whatever else you do, keep my Sabbaths. The Sabbath is a sign between me and you for all your generations, so that you will know that I am the LORD, the one who sets you apart as holy.

  270. Exode 31:15

There are six days in which work may be done. The seventh day, though, is a Sabbath of full rest, set apart as holy to the LORD. Anyone who works on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

  271. Exode 31:17

It is a sign between me and the Israelites for all time, because in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he stopped working and was refreshed.’”

  272. Exode 32:5

When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and made a proclamation: “Tomorrow we hold a feast to the LORD.”

  273. Exode 32:7

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go down at once! Your people, whom you brought up from the land of Egypt, have acted corruptly.

  274. Exode 32:9

The LORD went on to say to Moses, “I have seen what this people is like. They are a stiff-necked people.

  275. Exode 32:11

But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God. “LORD,” he said, “why should your anger blaze against your own people? You brought them out of the land of Egypt by great power and a strong hand.

  276. Exode 32:14

And the LORD relented from the harm he had said he would do to his people.

  277. Exode 32:26

Moses took his stand at the gate of the camp and called out, “Who is on the LORD’s side? Come here to me!” And all the Levites rallied around him.

  278. Exode 32:27

He said to them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Every man of you fasten his sword at his side. Pass through the camp from gate to gate and back again. Kill, every one of you, your brother, your friend and your neighbor.’”

  279. Exode 32:29

Moses said, “Today you have ordained yourselves for the LORD, for each of you took a stand against his own son and brother. And so this day a blessing has been given you.”

  280. Exode 32:30

The next day Moses told the people, “What you have done is a terrible sin. But I will go up again to the LORD. It may be that I can make atonement for your sin.”

  281. Exode 32:31

So Moses went back to the LORD and said, “Oh, hear me! This people has committed a terrible sin. They have made themselves gods out of gold.

  282. Exode 32:33

The LORD answered Moses, “It is the one who has sinned against me whom I will blot out of my book.

  283. Exode 32:35

Then the LORD sent a plague on the people for making the calf, the calf that Aaron had made.

  284. Exode 33:1

The LORD said to Moses, “Move on from here, you and the people whom you led up out of the land of Egypt. Head for the land I swore to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the land of which I said, ‘To your offspring I will give it.’

  285. Exode 33:5

The LORD said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. Were I to go up among you even for a moment, I would put an end to you. So take off your ornaments now, and then I will settle what I am going to do about you.’”

  286. Exode 33:7

Moses made a practice of taking the tent and setting it up outside the camp, well away from it. He named it the tent of meeting. Whoever wanted to seek the LORD went out to the tent of meeting beyond the camp.

  287. Exode 33:11

The LORD would speak with Moses face to face, the way a person talks with a friend. Moses then went back to the camp; but Joshua son of Nun, the young man who served him, stayed in the tent and did not leave it.

  288. Exode 33:12

Moses said to the LORD, “You tell me, ‘Bring this people up,’ yet you have not made known to me who is to go with me. You have also said, ‘I know you by name, and you have found favor in my sight.’

  289. Exode 33:17

The LORD said to Moses, “This request too, the one you have just made, I will grant, because you have found favor in my sight and I know you by name.”

  290. Exode 33:19

The LORD answered, “I will make all my goodness go past you, and I will announce the name ‘The LORD’ before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will show compassion to whom I will show compassion.”

  291. Exode 33:21

The LORD said, “There is a place beside me. You are to stand there on the rock.

  292. Exode 34:1

The LORD said to Moses, “Cut two new tablets out of stone, like the first pair. On them I will write the same words that stood on the first tablets, which you smashed.

  293. Exode 34:4

So Moses cut two stone tablets like the first ones. Early next morning he went up Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, carrying the two stone tablets in his hand.

  294. Exode 34:5

The LORD came down in the cloud and took his place there beside Moses, and he announced his name, the LORD.

  295. Exode 34:6

The LORD passed in front of Moses and called out, “The LORD, the LORD, a God of tender compassion and grace, slow to grow angry, rich in faithful love and in truth,

  296. Exode 34:10

The LORD said, “Here and now I am making a covenant. In front of all your people I will work marvels such as have never been brought into being anywhere on earth or in any nation. All the people among whom you live will see what the LORD does, for what I am about to do with you will fill them with awe.

  297. Exode 34:14

Bow down to no other god. The LORD is named Jealous; he is a jealous God.

  298. Exode 34:24

I will dispossess nations to make room for you and push your borders outward. And while you are away three times a year, going up to appear before the LORD your God, no one will scheme to seize your land.

  299. Exode 34:26

The choicest of the first produce from your land you are to bring into the house of the LORD your God. Never boil a young goat in the milk of its own mother.”

  300. Exode 34:27

The LORD told Moses, “Put these words in writing, for they are the terms on which I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”

  301. Exode 34:28

Moses remained there with the LORD for forty days and forty nights; he ate no food and drank no water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Words.

  302. Exode 34:32

After that all the Israelites came near, and Moses passed on to them as commands everything the LORD had told him on Mount Sinai.

  303. Exode 34:34

Each time Moses went into the presence of the LORD to talk with him, he kept the veil off until he came out again. Then he would come out and tell the Israelites what he had been commanded to say.

  304. Exode 35:1

Moses gathered the whole community of the Israelites and said to them, “These are the things the LORD has commanded you to do:

  305. Exode 35:2

There are six days in which work may be done, but the seventh day is to be holy for you, a Sabbath of full rest to the LORD. Anyone who works on it must be put to death.

  306. Exode 35:4

Then Moses told the whole community of the Israelites, “This is what the LORD has commanded:

  307. Exode 35:5

    Set aside among yourselves a contribution for the LORD. Everyone whose heart moves them to give is to bring it as the LORD’s contribution: gold, silver and bronze;

  308. Exode 35:10

Every one of you who is wise of heart is to come and make all that the LORD has commanded:

  309. Exode 35:21

Then each one whose heart stirred them, and each one whose spirit moved them to give, came with the LORD’s contribution, to be used in building the tent of meeting, in all the service there, and in making the holy garments.

  310. Exode 35:22

They came, the men along with the women, all who had willing hearts, and they brought brooches, earrings, signet rings and pendants, every kind of gold object. Everyone who dedicated gold to the LORD as a wave offering brought it.

  311. Exode 35:24

Those who set aside silver or bronze brought it as a contribution for the LORD. People who had acacia wood that would serve for any of the work brought that as well.

  312. Exode 35:29

The Israelites, every man and every woman whose heart moved them to give toward any of the work the LORD had commanded through Moses, brought it to the LORD as a freewill offering.

  313. Exode 35:30

Then Moses said to the Israelites, “Take note: the LORD has chosen Bezalel by name, the son of Uri, son of Hur, from the tribe of Judah,

  314. Exode 36:1

Bezalel, Oholiab and every skilled person whom the LORD has gifted with skill and understanding, so that they know how to do every task in the service of the sanctuary, will carry out the work exactly as the LORD has commanded.”

  315. Exode 36:2

Moses called for Bezalel and Oholiab, along with all whom the LORD had made skillful, everyone whose heart stirred them to come forward and do the work.

  316. Exode 36:5

and told Moses, “The people keep bringing more than enough for the task the LORD has commanded us to carry out.”

  317. Exode 38:22

It was Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, who made all that the LORD had commanded Moses.

  318. Exode 39:1

Out of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, finely woven garments were made for service in the holy place. Aaron’s holy garments were made as well, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  319. Exode 39:5

The woven band that went around it to fasten it was made the same way, in one piece with the ephod, of gold, of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of fine twisted linen, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  320. Exode 39:7

Bezalel set them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  321. Exode 39:21

They bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord, so that it lay on the woven band of the ephod and did not come away from it, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  322. Exode 39:26

Bell and pomegranate, bell and pomegranate, they went all around the hem of the robe, which was worn for ministering, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  323. Exode 39:29

and the sash of fine twisted linen with blue, purple and scarlet yarn, worked in colors by an embroiderer, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  324. Exode 39:30

From pure gold they made the plate that is the holy crown, and they engraved it, as a seal is engraved, with the words “Holy to the LORD.”

  325. Exode 39:31

To it they attached a cord of blue so that it could be fixed high on the turban, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  326. Exode 39:32

In this way the whole work of the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, was finished. The Israelites carried out everything the LORD had commanded Moses; they did it all.

  327. Exode 39:42

In every detail the Israelites had done the whole work as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  328. Exode 39:43

Moses looked at all the work, and there it was, done in every point as the LORD had commanded. And Moses blessed them.

  329. Exode 40:1

    The LORD said to Moses,

  330. Exode 40:16

Moses carried out all that the LORD had commanded him. That is just what he did.

  331. Exode 40:19

He spread the tent over the tabernacle and laid the covering of the tent on top of it, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  332. Exode 40:21

He brought the ark into the tabernacle and hung the curtain that serves as a screen, shutting off the ark of the testimony from view, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  333. Exode 40:23

He set out the bread on it in rows before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  334. Exode 40:25

He set up the lamps before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  335. Exode 40:27

and burned sweet-smelling incense on it, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  336. Exode 40:29

He set the altar of burnt offering at the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the grain offering, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  337. Exode 40:32

Each time they went into the tent of meeting or came near the altar, they washed, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  338. Exode 40:34

Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the tabernacle was filled with the glory of the LORD.

  339. Exode 40:35

Moses was unable to go into the tent of meeting, since the cloud had come to rest on it and the tabernacle was full of the glory of the LORD.

  340. Exode 40:38

By day the cloud of the LORD rested over the tabernacle, and by night fire glowed within it. The whole house of Israel could see it, at every stage of their travels.
