Then the LORD said to him, “Name him Jezreel, for in a little while I will punish the house of Jehu for the blood shed at Jezreel, and I will bring the kingdom of the house of Israel to an end.
But I will show compassion to the house of Judah, and I will save them by the LORD their God. I will not save them by bow or sword or battle, or by horses and horsemen.”

“Come, let us return to the LORD. It is he who has torn us, and he will heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bandage our wounds.
Let us know the LORD; let us press on to know him. His coming is as certain as the sunrise; he will come to us like the showers, like the spring rain that waters the land.”
Israel’s pride testifies against him, yet they have not returned to the LORD their God or sought him in spite of all this.
